Overdying and aging

- [Instructor] So what if we want to take one of our fabric textures and add a treatment to it like an overdye or some sort of aging technique? Well that's another thing that's really simple to do on the computer. We're just going to add another filter. So let's overdye the denim. I'm going to click on the denim layer. Make a new layer, and go back to black and white in my foreground and background colors. We're going to use the cloud filter again. Filter, Render, Clouds. This is a terrific filter, because it just gives you so much texture, and it's a great starting point for so many other things. Now, I can take this and just clip it right into the denim layer, and we can work with it just the way it is. If I change the layer blend mode from Normal to Multiply, it'll darken and give this great sort of mottled look. If I change it to screen, I get the opposite effect. It looks like it's bleached out. So just from that one simple filter, I can get a lot of effects. You can scroll down…
