Painting along a path
- [Instructor] Sometimes it can be difficult to create a free-hand brush-stroke in a specific shape, like a circle, but Photoshop makes it really easy to create a path and then stroke the path with a painting tool. So we'll create a new document at the default Photoshop size. And then from the toolbar, I'm going to select the ellipse tool and make sure that in the options bar it's set to create a path. Then I'll click and drag out a circle, holding down the shift key in order to constrain it. Now once I have a path I need to set up the tool that I want to trace the path with, I'll tap the B key that will select the brush tool. I want to make sure that I don't have the mixer brush, but just the regular brush. And then I'll right-click and reset that tool. Then from the Brushes panel, I'll be sure to choose Kyle's Ultimate Charcoal Brush. Now it's a little small, so I'll use the right bracket in order to increase the size.…
