Panning techniques

- [Instructor] Once you've zoomed in to an area in a document, you may need to look at a different area. More often than not, I see users zoom all the way out and then zoom back in on the area This wastes a lot of time so let me show you a couple of panning tips to make life a bit easier. Maybe I'll focus on this boy's hat here. And then to pan around, I mean, one technique in the bottom and right side of your window. Now, to me I avoid the scrollbars at all costs And with the hand tool selected you can click to a different focus area within your document window. Now quite honest, I never actually choose the hand tool because Photoshop makes it super easy to get the hand tool by simply holding down the space bar. So no matter what tool you have active, you know, whether it's the gradient tool or whatever, you hold down the space bar and you can just pan to the area that you want to focus on.
