Pen tool basics

- [Instructor] While I find that Photoshop's curvature pen tool is excellent for creating shapes when I need the most amount of control, say for example, I'm trying to cut out an object for the background, or I've got a really complex shape. Or maybe I'm making a vector mask, then I will typically switch to the traditional pen tool. So from the tool panel, I will click and hold to select the pen tool, then I'm going to use Command one in order to zoom in, and then use the Spacebar to navigate to the upper right of this template file. So every time we click with the pen tool, we're going to lay down what's called an anchor point or a control point. And then if we click again, Photoshop will create a line segment or the path in between those two points. As we start dragging our curved lines, we will click and drag and create a direction line that has a direction point at the end of it. This…
