- In this movie, I wanna share what I've learned teaching winter workshops for years of what gear tips are really crucial. So basically, you know, I see people with great winter parkas and beanies and you know, protecting their neck and their head and big mittens. Those are all pretty standard things, but it's footwear that I see a lot of problems, so I want to talk about footwear for a minute. I wear negative 40-degree rated, waterproof Arctic boots. You don't wanna mess around with your toes. Once those toes go, you're not shooting anymore, it's time to get inside the car or back to the hotel, so footwear is the number one most important thing I can recommend. Now sometimes your fingers get cold and that's obviously a problem too, but it's very easy to put them in a jacket or put them in mittens and warm them up. But your toes once they go they're gone, so I really recommend investing in a great pair of Arctic boots. Now the second thing I see are slips, falls on ice. This is really…
