Place a linked Photoshop file into Illustrator

- [Instructor] Just as we can place an Illustrator file into Photoshop, we can place a Photoshop file in Illustrator, and that's what I'd like to do here. Now I'm choosing Illustrator to be the host in this case, because it has stronger text handling capabilities than Photoshop. You might argue here that this will be better done in Indesign, but let's assume that you're more comfortable working with text in Illustrator. So I'll come to the file menu and choose Place, or Command Shift or Control Shift P. Select my image, and I'll need to make sure that this option, Link, is selected. That gives me a loaded picture cursor. I might at this point want to turn on my guides so I can see exactly where I'm going to place it. I've already created some guides in this document, including a bleed guide. So I'm going to click and drag from that bleed guide. Come all the way over to the right hand bleed guide.
