- [Instructor] This movie is about how Bridge can help us work with linked files in Photoshop. I have this tree image already open in Photoshop and I'd now like to place one of those textures on top of the tree. So I'm gonna come to Bridge and I'll select the texture, right click on it, place in Photoshop. It puts it directly on top of the layer. To commit to that I'll press return and then let's change the blending mode to soft light. We see that what's happened is that I have a smart object badge now on that layer. That badge indicates that it is an embedded smart object meaning that if I double click on that layer, the image is now opened in a separate document and any changes that I might make to it, let's say that I want to desaturate it, command shift or control shift, U, then save those changes. Now return to the document and we see that the original layer is now affected and has become grayscale. But this is an embedded smart object. And that means that if we return to Bridge,…
