The Polygonal Lasso tool
- Depending on what type of subjects you tend to photography, you may rarely have straight lines anywhere in your image. But every now and then, there might be some straight lines and you might find that you need to create a selection based on those straight lines. And for that type of situation, the Polygonal Lasso Tool is absolutely perfect. Let's take a look at how we can use this selection tool that is designed to create selections comprised of straight lines. I'll go ahead and zoom in. Here we have a speed limit sign and we'll just create some selections of the letters. Maybe I wanted to apply some adjustments to the letters here. There are, of course, a variety of other tools I might use to create such a selection, but certainly we could use the Polygonal Lasso Tool for this purpose as well. I'll get started by selecting the Polygonal Lasso Tool, which is actually hiding, if you will, underneath the regular Lasso Tool. So I'll go to the tool box and then click and hold the mouse…
