Preserving very fine hair details

- [Instructor] In this movie I'll show you how to paint away the background as well as fill in the foreground without damaging any of these fine hair details, and ultimately the trick is to not overdo it. And let me show you what that looks like. I'll start by duplicating my existing alpha channel, which of course you can do by dragging it and dropping it onto the little page icon down here at the bottom of the panel, or just so you know a different way to work, you can right click on that channel and chose Duplicate Channel, which gives you the option of naming the channel as you copy it, and so I'll just call this channel brush work, and then I'll click OK. The strange thing is, at least in this version of the program, that selects the channel but it fails to make it visible and so you need to turn the eyeball for the new channel on, in which case we're going to see both of the channels at the same time, which is why one is superimposed as a Rubylith overlay, and so to make that…
