- In this movie I'll show you how to preview channels from inside the Calculations dialogue box. And the reason for doing this is because somehow or other, you have to come to terms with exactly which two channels you should blend and how you should go about blending them. Because among other things, there are 22 different blend modes to choose from. Alright, so as I say, we're gonna take these two photographs from the Dreamstime image library. So we've got this fur layer right here and we are going to mask her against this snowy scene. Alright, so I'll go ahead and press the backspace key to get rid of that URL. And then I'll switch over to the channels panel, just so we can take a look at our channels. So what I want you to notice is that she is your typical, everyday average warm-blooded human being. So as I was saying in a previous chapter, we are all orange! And that's something to bear in mind, doesn't matter whether you're light skinned or dark skinned. And she's appearing…
