- [Instructor] Throughout these lessons on retouching, we're going to focus on removing the distracting elements in a photograph so that the viewer can focus on the person in the image. We want to be subtle in our retouching so that we enhance the portraits without compromising the character of the person. In this lesson, we're going to take a look at a variety of tools that are available to remove acne or blemishes as well as soften skin. So first we'll remove any blemishes. I'll use command one on Mac, control one on Windows in order to zoom in. Then I'll tap the J key that will select the healing brush. I want to start with these spot healing brush, and I'm going to set the type to content aware. Now for more flexible editing, I'll retouch on a layer. So at the bottom of the layers panel, I'll click on the plus icon and we'll just rename this retouching. Now the spot healing brush is going to automatically set the…
