Quickly removing small imperfections using the Dust and Scratches filter

- [Instructor] One of the filters that can save a lot of time when we're scanning objects or scanning in photographs is the Dust & Scratches filter. I'm going to convert this layer to a Smart Object by selecting Filter and then Convert for Smart Filters. I'll tap the Z key in order to zoom in and just click, and then drag to zoom into this area. So you can see, there's actually quite a bit of dust on the scanning bed when I was scanning these pods. I'll choose Filter and then Noise and then Dust & Scratches. Now the goal in Dust & Scratches is to increase the radius until all the dust is removed, but then increase the threshold as far as it can go until you start getting the dust back. So, I'm going to use the arrow keys to just increase the radius until I no longer see the dust. But we can see we've lost a lot of information in each one of the pods and that's why we need to move to the threshold and start…
