Reassigning Spotlight (Mac only)

- [Instructor] Alright now this brief movie, it's just for Macintosh people by the way, so if you're working on the PC you can go ahead and skip to the next chapter. The idea is remember how I was telling you that there's a keyboard shortcut for temporarily accessing the zoom tool, which is to press command, space bar. The problem is that by default, that's going to launch some version of Spotlight. And whether or not it leaps in front of Photoshop, as we're seeing here, it's still a pain in the neck. So your options, of course, are to press and hold the Z key instead and get in the habit of using that keyboard shortcut. And then click and then you release the Z key. Or instead of pressing command, space bar in that order, you press space bar, command like so. And then you click to zoom on in. But what if you just want to be able to press command, space bar as many of us have grown up doing? Well then you need to change a system preference. And you do that by going up to the Apple…
