Reducing noise in Camera Raw

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to reduce the effects of noise using the best color reduction tool that Photoshop offers, and that is Camera Raw. So, notice that we have this night shot that's relying on a camp lantern. And as a result, I had to open up the exposure in Camera Raw, which revealed an awful lot of noise, especially in the shadow detail. Now, one way to smooth over that noise is to go to the Filter Menu, choose Noise, and then choose Reduce Noise, which is not a bad filter. It's just that these days, it doesn't begin to compare to Camera Raw, which is going to allow us to take this incredibly noisy photograph and smooth out the shadows while enhancing the detail, as we're seeing here. So, if you're working along with me, what I want you to do is go up to File Menu and choose Open as Smart Object, or if you loaded Dkeys, you have that shortcut of Ctrl + Shift + Alt + O, or Command + Shift + Option + O on the Mac.
