- [Instructor] Select and Mask can be used with both selections, as we did when we began working on this image, or with existing layer masks. Let's see how to approach it from that angle. So before we do that, I'm going to add in a new background here. I'm going to come to the Window menu where I already have another file open, called milky way, and I'm just going to choose Select, All, and then Edit, Copy. And now I'll go back to the Window menu and switch back to the rocketship file, and I'll just choose paste, I'll use the shortcut of Command + V or Control + V to paste that down. And I'm going to take the new layer here and drag it down underneath the rocketship layer, so that we can see this in place. And let me just experiment with how I want to position this. I have a little bit of leeway here in terms of the height of the milky way image. That looks about right. So now that I have the milky way image in place I can see fringing a little bit easier, because the background is…
