- [Voiceover] With a basic layer mask for the center image in place, now we'll direct our attention to some mask touch-ups and filling in the sky above the girl's hat. Speaking of the hat, first we will deal with this light fringe that appears around the edge of the hat there. Now, sometimes you can fix this by modifying the mask, but there is often a quicker way that I sometimes like to use, so let me show you that. What I'm going to do is make a lasso selection of just the hat, just this area right here. With the center layer active, I'm going to float that up onto a new layer, choose command + j, or control + j on Windows, and actually what I'm going to do is I'm going to lock the transparent areas of this layer so that I can't edit the transparent areas. I'm going to get my clone stamp tool, and in the blend mode for the clone stamp tool, I'm going to set the blend mode for that tool to Darken. Let's zoom up close so we can see this a bit better.
