Refining a Hue adjustment layer with the On Image tool

- Most users don't take full advantage of the hue saturation adjustment layer because it seems pretty limited, but in fact, it's quite powerful. You can precisely target different colors for different looks. And this is a great way to improve the color dynamic range to really lighten or darken areas selectively. Looking at this image here, it's pretty well exposed, but it's not quite right. If you look at the end state, you'll see that it's better balanced. What was done was a toning down of the greens a bit to bring out the reds and the golds. To do this, feel free to add the hue saturation adjustment layer. This gives you three properties: hue, which is the color itself; saturation, which is the intensity of that color; and lightness, the relative lightness or darkness.
