- According to the Photoshop team, a lot of folks have been asking if there's any way to save their favorite selected mask settings as a preset. If you're one of those folks glad tidings because now there is. And I demonstrate what I mean. I'll click on the selected mask button up here in the Options bar and then here inside the selected mask workspace, I'll twirl open the Edge Detection option. And I'll crank this radius value up to let's say 20 pixels, is a pretty common setting. And what that does, is it paints a brushstroke 20 pixels thick of refinement around the entire layer mask. And to see what that looks like I'll go ahead and turn on the Show Edge button and you can see that we have this brushstroke of refinement once again, that is uniformly 20 pixels thick. Actually, it's not really thick enough for this guy. So I'll go ahead and crank this value up to 40 pixels, let's say. Now well, a big refinement…
