Removing chromatic aberration

- [Instructor] All right, now we'll take a look at another variety of lens distortion known as chromatic aberrations. And you can see what I'm talking about right here. Notice this checkbox remove chromatic aberration. That's what it does, but what in the world is it? Well, you're actually seeing it right now, although unless you've trained yourself to look for it it's not very easy to see when you're zoomed all the way out. However, if I were to switch back to the DNG image over here at the top of my vertical filmstrip view, and then armed with the Zoom tool drag in order to perform a scrubby zoom. Now it is, so go ahead and spacebar drag over a little bit here that we have these purple and green fringes around the edges of the trees. And that is chromatic aberration by the way. And it's a function of the various color channels misaligning with each other and it's going to be most pronounced at the far edges and…
