Replacing a missing piece with Content-Aware Fill

- In this lesson we'll be replacing some of the missing pieces with the Content-Aware Fill tool. In Photoshop, there are many ways to use the Content-Aware Fill. I like to use it on a background or base layer, a flattened image. I start by selecting the Patch tool. This is in readiness in case the Content-Aware Fill doesn't work. Using the Patch tool selected, I'll draw around an area I want to Content-Aware Fill and press Delete. This invokes the Content-Aware or Fill menu. I select Content-Aware from the drop-down, and using the Mode as Normal and Opacity 100%, press OK. Now this will set the Content-Aware Fill already next time I use the Delete key. As you can see, it's filled the area with quite a good match of the surrounding pattern and texture. So I'll start by selecting an area, press Delete, Enter, and move on to another area. The reason why I've got the Patch tool selected and I'm using the Patch tool, is just in case things don't work. Press Delete, Content-Aware Fill, and…
