Replacing a sky in Photoshop
- Let's take a look at one other tool that relies upon artificial intelligence, and that's Photoshop's implementation of sky replacement. Sky replacement is a popular technique that's often used in travel photography and real estate photography where people are not satisfied with the sky as is. Maybe you got up early in the morning and the sky just kind of fizzled out. Or, you went to shoot a beautiful sunset, and all you got was fog or haze. Well, we can go in and tweak this after the fact. Let's go here and open up an image. And, I'm happy with this image. This is from a trip to Hong Kong recently, and the sky's bright blue and beautiful. But it's not very photographically interesting. What I can do is choose edit, and select sky replacement.
