Reset sticky tool settings
- Each of Photoshop's tools has its own options here in the Options bar and many of those options are sticky, which means they stay the way that you set them. Here's a way to reset any tool or all your tools so you're not surprised by sticky settings. First, take a look at what a sticky setting is. With the Brush tool selected, go to the Mode menu and change that to Color. Now when you paint, the color only paints over areas that are already colored, not areas that are white and it gives this translucent effect. That's great for now, but let's say that some time passes and you open this image or a different image and you want to paint with solid blue. When you select the Brush tool and you start to paint, the brush still paints with the Color Blending mode active, and you would have to figure that out and change it yourself. So here's a way that you can reset this tool or all your tools to avoid that. With any tool…
