- [Instructor] So in Photoshop, the size of your image really does matter and what I mean when I say size is resolution. I've got two images side by side here right now. One is a lower res file. This is about 100 dpi and this is a 300 dpi file and you can see there's a very big difference in the look of the files. It's very, very important to get the highest resolution image you can find. This particular file is 11 by 17 tabloid and the dpi is 300 and we can see that if we go to image, image size and you can see that this is 17 by 11 at 300. So let's go online and hunt for some images so I can show you the best way to find an appropriately sized image for your project. I've already done a search for 1920's fashion and let's take a look at this image right here. You can see the sizes of this image is 646 by 969 and if I just right-click and copy the image, go back to Photoshop and paste it, remember I'm pasting it inside this 11 by 17, 300 dpi file, look how tiny that comes up.
