Restoring details with the History brush

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to restore fragile details using the history brush. Now, if you're following along with me, you will have had to follow along with the entirety of the previous movie as well. That's because history is saved in RAM only so long as the image is open. It is the one thing in Photoshop that you cannot save as part of a layered PSD file. And this will become increasingly evident as we work through this movie. Now the specific problem that we're having is the netting inside of the tennis racquet. So notice that it's appearing very fragile here. Whereas, at the outset of the previous movie, when we applied the alpha channel as a layer mask, it looked pretty darned great. And to make the difference perfectly clear, I'll alter option click on the layer mask thumbnail, here inside the layers panel. So notice our strong, if noisy, strings as opposed to those inside our current layer mask, which are almost non-existent. Now one thing you could try is…
