Rounding and blurring letterforms

- [Instructor] We're going to wrap things up with a couple of design techniques starting with this spray paint type. Now, I've already created the drips in advance and if you want to find out how I did that, using the brush tool, incidentally, then you can check out Deke's Techniques episode 579 from the year 2017. In this movie, however, I'll show you how to create the text by rounding out and blurring letter forms. And so we're going to start off with this live editable type here, which is set in the font Stencil. Now if you don't have Stencil installed on your machine, you'll get a missing fonts warning. Don't worry about it, because Photoshop automatically saves all the pixel information for each and every text layer. So what we want to do here is assign this text as a layer mask to this layer of paint right here. And notice that it's just a bunch of blobs of white paint that I created using a soft brush.
