- In this example we're gonna be working on part of the title sequence for a fictional TV mystery show called Bear River. In the file that I have open, I have a short clip of the leading actress looking up. This will be used in the title sequence when her name appears. Eventually it will be blended into the blank page of the book at the edge of the river but we need to do some selection and masking work first. So just so you can see where we're going with this, I'm gonna change the blend mode for the actress layer to multiply and you can see that that does a really good job of blending the colors and detail of her face and her hair into the blank page of the book underneath. However, it doesn't do a good job with the dark background behind her so let me just set this back to normal right now. Now if I had the opportunity I would have photographed her against a white background because then I could use the multipled blend mode to drop out all the white areas. But since I didn't have…
