Selecting an elliptical object

- [Instructor] All right, now it's easy to look at the geometric selection tools, the Rectangular Marquee and the Elliptical Marquee, as downright primitive, but, in fact, they're very useful. Consider for example, that the Rectangular Marquee tool is selected by default, every time you launch Photoshop. Also consider, that many things in nature are elliptical. Which is why we're going to use the Elliptical Marquee tool to take this moon shot, that I captured with a 400 millimeter fixed lens and a 2X extender, so a focal length of 800 millimeters, and we're going to set it against this eclipse, that I also captured, same setup, back in 2017, in Alliance, Nebraska, and we're going to end up creating this composition here. Again, armed only with the Elliptical Marquee tool. All right, so, go ahead and switch over to this guy and I'll also switch over to the Elliptical Marquee tool.
