Selecting and replacing skies
- I'm sure that everyone has found themselves at a beautiful location, but the sky just isn't as grand as the landscape in the foreground. Well, Photoshop can help us to not only select a sky, but also to replace it. Now if I just wanted to select the sky, I could choose the Select menu, and then choose Sky, and this would be great, for example, if I had a nice sky, but maybe I just wanted to add an adjustment layer to change the color or the tone in the sky. But for now I am going to choose Select and then Deselect, and instead I'll choose Edit, and then Sky Replacement. In the Sky Replacement window I can choose from a number of different preset skies that ship with Photoshop. So be sure to take a moment and click through all of these different options here. Now if you're looking to create realistic results, be sure to look for replacement skies that match the quality of light as well as the direction…
