Selecting the subject

- Our receptionist is placed into this document, but we need to remove the background she was photographed on. So first, we'll make sure that she's selected and the blue highlight around the layer shows that she is selected. And if we go to the selection tool, you can see the marquee is showing up present. If we tap and hold on that, then we get the other selection tools. We'll choose Select subject, and in a few seconds, you can see it's made a fairly good job of selecting this receptionist is for us. There's a few errors and we can fix them next. If we pinch to zoom in, we can see that it's missed some of the area of her shoulder. So we'll tap and hold on the selection tool again, and switch to Lasso tool. We'll make sure that it's set to add to our selection using the top icon in the small panel. And now we can just trace over that missing area. We'll loop around, and when we lift the pencil or finger off the iPad…
