Separating text onto a new layer
- [Instructor] All right now, I want to take the byline, which is this line of text that sites H.G. Wells as the author of the piece, and I want to break it off into its own text layer and I'm also going to show you how to center multiple lines of text to the canvas at the same time. All right, so the first step is to select the type tool, which you can get by pressing the "t" key and then you want to select this entire paragraph. Now, let me show you how that works. If you drag, you're just going to select a bunch of words. If you want to select a single word, you double click on it. If you want to select multiple words, double click on one, and then on that second click, drag like so. If you want to select an entire line, then you triple click. Now, you don't have to click very quickly. You just have to click three times in a row. So one, two, three, like so. If you want to select an entire paragraph, then you click four…
