- [Instructor] Now let's set up the Photoshop preferences. Open preferences and select interface. Select the light gray square. This helps with color correction. Make sure show channels in color is unchecked. Go to workspace. Leave auto collapse unchecked, but check auto show. Under tools, uncheck show tool tips. It'll drive you nuts. Next is file handling. Click on camera raw preferences. Make sure the depth is 16 bits. Click OK. And then click OK again to exit the preferences. Now let's adjust the workspace. Under the home icon is an arrow. Click it to condense the long line of tools. It just makes it faster to select a tool. Go to Window, workspace. You see that Adobe is giving you some presets of tools. Click on photography and you get these options. But we want to customize the workspace for our needs. Check adjustments, channels, and info. Go to histogram. In the menu, choose expanded view.
