Sharpening
- In this lesson we'll be finalizing the restoration with a sharpen. We'll be sharpening the background layer and we'll be keeping the highlights and shadows, layers that we made in a previous lesson, intact because at a later date we might want to go back and change the yellow highlights or the blue tone shadows for a different tone. In Photoshop there are many ways we can sharpen a file. We can go to filter and sharpen and select one of the many plethora of modes here we can use to sharpen an image. Sharpening for purpose is important. We need to keep the original file on disc, make a copy and sharpen the copy for the purpose we want to use it for. For example, we might want to use this image for printing a small postcard so we would downsize the resolution and we would sharpen the image for that size of print and if we did it for a web application the sharpen would be different.
