Shooting for an action composite
- A popular technique, particularly for athletics, is to take a photo and then see the same athlete or dancer appear throughout the image multiple times. Now, this is a pretty straightforward technique, but you might not have ever thought about how to pull it off. First off, put the camera on a tripod or set it on the ground so it's absolutely stationary. Then you're going to want to take advantage of something like a remote control so you don't have to touch the camera. This can be done with a trigger release or an app. In the case here, I'm going to use a GoPro camera. And you can actually learn a bit more about shooting with GoPro cameras in action sports by checking out one of our courses in the online library. We visited a skate park and the athletes were doing some amazing things. What I want to do is actually combine this together. Now, GoPro does have several different burst modes built in, but so do most cameras. GoPro allows me to spread that out over several seconds. But…
