Shooting for a panoramic photo
- For our final style of working with layers in Photoshop, we're going to tackle one of my favorite subjects, panoramic photography. Essentially what happens is you capture a scene with multiple images. But there's a right way and a wrong way. Now, fortunately, Photoshop's pretty forgiving. But I'd like to give you a crash course on the right way of doing it, and you're welcome to check out our full length course on panoramic photography to learn more. Now first up you're going to be using some sort of tripod out in the field. And in this case I'd use a full size tripod. I just brought it here on a platypod onto the desk so it's a little bit easier. But this is actually how I shot this particular panoramic image. I took the platypod to a railing when I was visiting Hong Kong and I was able to shoot a great landscape. Now once we attach the ballhead, you're going to want to level that. And a lot of ballheads will have a built in bubble level, and you're going to need to adjust this…
