Simulating motion with the Path Blur filter

- [Narrator] In this movie I'll show you how to simulate motion using the Path Blur filter. And so, I created this image for my Learning Underwater Photography fundamentals course that I created along with Underwater Photography Master Hergen Spalink. And the idea is we wanted to demonstrate rear-curtain sync that is S-Y-N-C where the strobe goes off right before the shutter closes. So in this case, the fishes face is in sharp focus and his body is in motion. So we'll start off with another image from the dreams time image library. I'll go ahead and get rid of that URL and I'll convert this image to a smart object by double clicking on the background to bring up the new layer dialog box. And I'll call this guy Angelfish and click okay. And then I'll right click in the image window with the rectangular marquee tool and I'll choose convert to smart object.
