- [Instructor] Let's make our own custom sketch brush. What if you've got an illustration you scanned in and you need to add more to the illustration, but you want the brush quality to match the illustration? You don't want it to look like this, a plain old round Photoshop brush. So let's make one that's going to work with this particular illustration. I'm going to grab the rectangle marquee, and I'm just going to select a little piece that I like, pretty much anywhere from the illustration is fine. We're going to go up to Edit, Define Brush Preset, and give it a name. I'll call it sketch. Don't forget to de-select, and now, let's adjust this brush so it works. If I draw with it as is, it's going to look like that, which is not giving me what I want, so we're going to go to brush settings, and we're going to start with shape dynamics and turn the angle jitter all the way up to maximum.
