Skin color by numbers in Photoshop
- [Instructor] The color of skin is the most important color in a portrait. Is there a perfect color for skin? No, (laughing) so the formula for skin is really just a guideline to get you close. You can then adapt it to your subject. In the last movie, we used black and white points to correct the color of the entire image. Now I'll use CMYK numbers to make adjustments specifically for her skin. We'll be doing this in a curves adjustment layers, so we'll add one now. Put their cursor anywhere on the photo. Across the top of the info palate are two sets of numbers, RGB and CMYK. Each set has two columns. The original values are displayed on the left and the adjusted values will be on the right. The top boxes show what's under the cursor. Our reference points are at the bottom. Look how the numbers change as I move around her face.
