- [Instructor] Alright so the first step is to assign some edge refinement either using the selected mask workspace or the old school refine edge command. And because the smooth edges of the jacket and the furry edges of the hood are so different from each other, we're gonna have to refine their edges in separate passes. And so if you're working along with me, make sure you're looking at the layers panel and then right click on the layer mask thumbnail for the fur layer and choose delete filter mask to get rid of it. And that's nothing to worry about because we already saved that out as an alpha channel inside the channels panel. Alright, I'm gonna rename this layer jacket because that's the purpose it's gonna serve and then I'm gonna jump a copy of it by pressing control alt J, or command option J on the Mac, which will force the display of the new layer dialog box and I'll go ahead and call this duplicate layer hood and click OK, and then I'll turn it off so that we can focus on the…
