Splitting a clip at the playhead

- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll fade the soundtrack around that second voiceover and along the way, I'll show you how to split a track whether it's an audio or video track at the play head. And just in case you have no idea what I'm talking about, you will very soon and it's a very useful trick. Alright, so I'll go ahead and bring back the timeline panel by clicking on it's tab. And we're going to start things off here by adjusting the very end of the song. And so I'll click on the big mountain icon a couple of times to zoom in here and then I'll position a play head, let's say, at around 52 seconds and then I'll press the space bar to play the movie. And I want you to listen to the fade with special attention to the way that the song ends. (music plays) Do you hear how abrupt that is? That's what's known as a linear fade because it's absolutely continuous from beginning to end which means not matter how long you make the fade, you can hear the end of it. Now it's not a dedicated…
