- [Host] Alright, now let's talk about choosing a focus mode, based on the subject that you're shooting. - [Instructor] So, single shot auto focus, which remember that's where the camera's going to focus and then stop focusing until you depress that shutter all the way, is generally pretty good for static subjects such as reefs or sponges or even some slow-moving animals. Where as if you're shooting a moving subject such as sharks or turtles or other fast-moving objects, continuous auto focus might be a better option. There's also something called focus tracking which is available on some cameras and that will actually follow a subject as it moves through the frame and the more higher-end the camera, the better that focus tracking is going to be. And can sometimes also track them in the Z plane. So in other words, when the subject is moving towards you or away from you, not just left and right or up and down across the frame. - [Host] And how do you lock on to that subject in the…
