- [Instructor] So, I'm here in Photoshop with this New Guinea Impatiens image open. I'm in full screen mode, which I accessed through here. And one of the first edits that I want to do is to fix this tear, or maybe it's a bite mark, I'm not sure. I could make this a Smart Object, in this case I'm just going to duplicate this layer. And have it for safekeeping, the original copy. So, I'll switch to the polygonal lasso tool, and make a selection. I'm just going to go a little bit further than the edges. All right. So there's my selection. And the tool I want to try to use is the Patch tool, and see how it does. So the way this works is once you have your selection of what you want to Patch, you click and drag, and then you can choose what you're going to apply in that area. I think I'm going to try and use this area here so that I have the similar edge, and yet I still have some detail in there. But it's not large enough, so I'll have to do this as a two step Patch.
