Troubleshooting Illustrator smart objects

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to troubleshoot a couple of problems that can occur when working with Illustrator smart objects inside Photoshop. So, the first thing I'm going to do is get rid of this existing Illustrator smart object. Just by selecting the cartoon boy layer and pressing the backspace key here on a PC or the delete key on a Mac. Now I'll switch over to Illustrator. And notice that I have a different document open this time, for those of you who have access to the exercise files. And the reason is that this file has the white eyes filled in. At which point, go ahead and press control-A, or command-A on a Mac in order to select all of the artwork and press control-C or command-C on a Mac, in order to copy it. Now go ahead and switch back over to Photoshop and press control-V or command-V on a Mac, to paste the artwork. Make sure "paste as" is set to smart object and click "okay".
