Turning a photo into a dot drawing

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to turn any photograph into a dot drawing, either in black and white, or in full color. Now, in the real world, creating a dot drawing is a matter of tapping a pen against a piece of paper about a zillion times. It's a very time-consuming process. In Photoshop, it goes much more quickly. And it, once again, relies on noise. But this time, we're not using Add Noise. Instead, we'll take advantage of a filter known as Graphic Pen. And so I'll go ahead and switch over to our starter image, which comes to us from the Dreamstime image library. Now, the thing to note is that this is a low-resolution image. Notice that we're seeing it at 50%, and if I were to go up to the Image menu and choose the Image Size command, then we can see the image measures 1950 px wide by 1300 px tall, which may sound like a lot, but it's just two and a half megapixels.
