Unlinking a layer mask using the Transform Selection tool

- [Narrator] Here's our receptionist behind her desk. We want to make her smaller. First, open the layers panel and make sure the layer itself, in this case the layered group and not the mask, is selected, and the obvious way to do this would be to use the transform tool and shrink it down. Note that because this is a layered group, the transform handles appear around the entire canvas and not just the receptionist, and we can grab a handle and make it smaller. The problem is that as we reduce it, the mask is reduced as well. Let's press the cancel button to undo that, and if we open our layers panel again, there's our group with the mask. If we select the mask once more, we can not tap the mask link icon in the task bar on the right and that will separate the mask from the layer. We'll click back on the layer, put our layers panel away, and now when we use the transform tool, as we shrink it down we can see…
