Upgrading from sRGB to Adobe RGB

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to upgrade your RGB colorspace from sRGB to Adobe RGB. And it is ultimately an upgrade, because you're ending up with a bigger gamut, one that covers more than half of the visible colors. Now, I want to draw your attention to these two images here, the one of my son and this crazy artwork from Deke's Techniques 568. That doesn't matter so much as the contents of the title tabs. So notice this guy right here. First we're seeing the filename, followed by this @ sign, and then the zoom ratio. Then inside these parentheses, we first see the name of the active player, which, in this case, is skyline, as you can see here in the layers panel, followed by the color model, RGB/8. And that's the bit depth, which tells us that we have eight bits of data per channel. Now, what that tells us is we have two to the eighth power, which is 256 luminance levels per channel. And because we have three channels, red, green, and blue, you multiply eight times…
