Upsampling vs. real high-resolution data

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to upsample an image inside Photoshop, and also show you how that compares to capturing real high-resolution data either with a digital camera or a scanner. And by way of a little bit of a spoiler alert, even though upsampling has improved dramatically, inside Photoshop over recent years, it still does not begin to compare at capturing real, high-resolution data in the first place. So we're going to start with this low-resolution image here, and for the sake of comparison, I'm going to duplicate it, by going up to the Image menu, and choosing the Duplicate command. And I'll go ahead and call this new image, Upsampled Image, and then I'll click OK in order to create the new image, press Control + or Command + in the Mac to zoom in, and I'll go ahead and drag this title over to the left so it's next door to the very small original. Alright, now inside this upsampled image file, I'll go up to the Image menu, and choose the Image Size…
