Use the Color Halftone filter
- In this movie, we're going to look at the Color Halftone filter which as it's name suggests, simulates the appearance of a color halftone. There's really only one point that I want to make here, and that is that although I am an advocate of working in the RBG color space as much as you can, for this filter to look right, you need to be in CMYK. So here is what I mean by that. If we convert the RBG version of this image to a smart object, and then come to Pixelate, and Color Halftone. I'll use the default values and now I'm presuming we don't get a true representation of a halftone. We see overlapping reds and greens and blues. And that's not what a color halftone looks like. So I'm going to undo this. And before I go any further, I'm going to change the mode to CMYK. Now when you do this, your best option is actually to come and Convert to Profile.
