Use the Poster Edges filter

- [Instructor] Using the Poster Edges filter, which is part of the Artistic group, we can achieve graphical effects like this. Here's my starting point. The first thing I want to do, as always, is convert this to a smart object, and I'll then come to apply Poster Edges. With Poster Edges, no matter what color your foreground color, the edges will always be black. If you want to reset these values to their default, Command or Control + click on default, and I'm going to use the following settings: I'm going to take down the posterization so that we don't get these rings in the shadow, and I think I'll actually go with an edge intensity of one and an edge thickness of two. But let's say that while I quite like this result, I feel like too many edges have been posterized, so I want to simplify the artwork. In order to do that, I'm going to turn off Poster Edges and then come to Filter menu and choose Blur, Surface Blur. I'm going to use these values, five and 40, for the radius and…
