Use a displacement map to enhance texture
- [Instructor] In this movie I will show how we can use the displays filter to make the fabric interact with the text and you can see that with the application of the displays filter if we look over here on the layers panel, the text is distorted according to the folds of the fabric and the way the light is hitting the folds of the fabric. So without that filter, I just turned that off, this is how it looks, we have a layer of text in the multiply blend mode with an opacity of 66. So we can see the texture of the layer beneath coming through but we now need to distort the text according to that texture and that's where the displays filter comes in. So let's switch to the starting state where I have the text, it's already converted to a smart object. The first thing I need to do is make a displacement map. Now the displacement map in this case is just going to be a copy of this file. So I'll hide the visibility on the text, I'll come to the image menu and chose duplicate and I'm going…
