Using Layer Effects and Fill Layers with shapes

- [Instructor] In the next few minutes we're going to take a look at using layer effects as well as fill layers with our shape layers because they're going to give us a bit of additional flexibility as well as control. So in the previous video we learned that we could change the fill of a shape layer by just using any of the preset panels. So I can quickly select a different color swatch. I could apply a pattern even change the gradient of that fill for a single layer. For now I'll return to the original color. So what happens if I want to add both a pattern and a gradient to a shape, or what if I want to add two different colors? Because I'm not sure which color I want to go with, or maybe I'm making a button and I need to make multiple states of that button. That's when layer effects can really be an advantage. So with this base shape copy selected, I'm going to add my layer effect by clicking on the effects icon. And…
